Mobile LCD controller offers WVGA at 60 fps

The TC358722XBG mobile digital display interface LCD controller offers display resolutions of up to VGA and WVGA and features a full-frame buffer capable of displaying 60 frames/s in low-power mode. It targets smart phones and portable navigation devices.

The IC features full 24-bit RGB output for display of up to 60 million colors, programmable gamma correction, and an image processor that supports doubling, rotating, mirroring and interpolation algorithms. It uses 6 x 6-mm P-VFBGA100 package, supports 8/16/18/24-bit MPU interfaces, has SPI and I2C interfaces, and has a 32-kHz DPPL system clock. ($6.50 ea/10,000—available now.)
