mixed-signal design
Component libraries and a parametric-search capability have been added
to the company's Unix- and Windows-NT-based mixed-signal mixed-technology
modeling tools. Libraries include SL Basic, which offers over 6,500 models
of parts such as diodes, bipolar transistors, op amps, and JFETs; and SL
Power, which has 2,500 power-related devices such as IGBTs, MOS components,
and bipolar Darlington transistors.
An additional library, the DX Component Library, has been expanded to
include pulse-width modulators and A/D converters. It also offers a parametric-search
capability that allows users to locate parts based on performance characteristics,
product name, or manufacturer. (SL Basic and SL Power, $2,500 each; DX
Component Library, $5,000–available now.)
