The V.32lite complete modem chipset for V.32 PCMCIA-card modems supports
the AT command set, data compression, error control, and send/receive fax.
The chipset comprises the LMC-10 laptop modem controller, the DSP16A-V.32
digital signal processor, the V32INTFC IC, and the T7525 Codec chip. The
LMC-10 chip incorporates all error-correction and data-compression
features specified under CCITT V.42/V.42bis and the MNP 4/5 standards. All
four chips fit into a 1.5-in.
an entire PCMCIA V.32 modem–including transformer and additional
discretes–is less than 1 W typ. The LMC-10, DSP16A-V.32, and V32INTFC are
housed in 100-pin SQFPs; the T7525 comes in a 28-pin SOTG package. ($109
