Modular connectors are user configurable

The Scorpion series power connectors feature modular tooling, making them user configurable with a wide variety of customer-specified contact variants. The tooling provides multiple keying options, and a one piece insulator for use in the finished connector.

The connector’s power options include 60-A size-8, 40-A size-12, and 30-A size-16 contacts, with contact resistance down to 0.001 Ω. Size-22 signal contacts and blank module options are also available. Contact terminations include board-to-board, board-to-cable, cable-to-cable, and panel-mount options. (Per mated pair, with six size-8 high-power contacts and 12 signal contacts, $12 ea/5,000 — available now.)
