The EPOS4 position motor controller module provides efficient dynamic control of brushed and brushless DC motors using Hall sensors and encoders. It provides 8-A continuous output, up to 750-W continuous power, and 1,500-W peak power. The Module 50/8 (shown) OEM version handles 400-W continuous output.
The device can operate using field-oriented control. It uses a 10- to 50-V power supply and its current controller has a 25-kHz sampling rate, while its PID positioning controller uses 2.5 KHz. Models are available with detachable pin headers, CANopen interface, and two power ratings. $264.80 ea/20.
