Molex Applauds Indy 500 Winner Tony Kanaan

LISLE, IL – May 30, 2013 – Molex Incorporated congratulates champion driver Tony Kanaan for his outstanding win at the 97^th Indianapolis 500 Mile Race (Indy 500) on Sunday, May 26^th over Memorial Day weekend. After an exhilarating race day with a record 68 lead changes, Kanaan took the lead on the 197^th lap to bring home his first Indy 500 title. A co-sponsor of Mouser and the KV Racing Technology team in the IZOD IndyCar Series, Molex celebrated with automotive race fans as Kanaan piloted the #11 car to the checkered flag.

A highly respected driver and perennial fan favorite, Kanaan has raced 12 times in the legendary Indy 500, finishing second in 2004 and twice finishing third. This was his first time winning the Indy 500 which is held annually at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Speedway, Indiana. Indy 500 drivers race 200 laps counter-clockwise around the two and half mile oval circuit for a total of 500 miles.
