Molex to highlight datacenter solutions at DCD Enterprise

Molex Logo
Molex will display its growing portfolio of datacenter networking and storage solutions in Booth #57 at the DatacenterDynamics Enterprise Conference and Expo, to be held March 14-15 at the New York Marriott Marquis. The event brings together more than 1,200 professionals from Internet companies to discuss the future of digital infrastructure.

Molex will showcase its Ethernet and InfiniBand™ networking products as well as Fibre Channel, PCIe, SAS and SATA storage products. “Molex remains committed to supporting faster speeds within datacenters while minimizing signal and insertion loss, said Ben Cammarata, regional industry manager, Molex. Additionally, high-speed networking requires joining cutting-edge I/O cables into an integrated equipment solution, and Molex networking solutions meet the demand.

Molex products featured at DCD Webscale will include:
SFP+ Interconnect Solutions which support applications for 8 Gbps Fibre Channel and 10 Gbps Gigabit Ethernet with industry-wide compatibility. SFP+ interconnects use the same space-per-port as standard SFP interconnects.

QSFP+ Interconnect Solution The Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable (QSFP+) solution from Molex is designed for high-density applications. Components include EMI shielding cage, AOCs, passive copper cable assembly, active copper cable assembly, optical MTP cable assembly, optical loopback, 38-circuit SMT iPass™ host connector, and stacked integrated connectors and cages.

Additionally, Nallatech, a Molex company, will showcase its 510T™ Compute Acceleration Card – FPGA co-processor designed to deliver ultimate performance per watt for compute-intensive datacenter applications.  A GPU-sized 16-lane PCIe Gen 3 card, the 510T™ features two Intel Arria 10 FPGAs delivering up to sixteen times the performance of the previous generation.  Applications can achieve a total sustained performance of up to 3 TFlops.  The 510T™ card is available with almost 300GByte/sec of peak external memory bandwidth configured as eight independent banks of DDR4. This combination, plus the FPGA’s on-chip memory bandwidth of 14.4TBytes/sec, permits dramatic new levels of performance per watt for memory-bound applications.

Datacenters rely on seamless connectivity to ensure data flows quickly, efficiently and securely. Molex applies its experience with network, server and storage devices to design integrated I/O cabling solutions for a wide range of datacenter customers. As more infrastructure moves to the cloud, datacenters built on Molex I/O cabling solutions can support faster processing, more bandwidth and increased density, while maximizing efficiency and reliability.
