Monolithic converters improve efficiency 4%

The 2.5-A output TCV7100F and the 3.8-A output TCV7101F feature a 2.7- to 5.5-V input range. The converters achieved about a 4% efficiency improvement compared to competitive products. The 2.5-A device has a typical switching frequency of 800 kHz, while the 3.8-A version has a switching frequency of 600 kHz. The TCV7101F features a built-in driver for an external low-side MOSFET to enable designers to select the external device most suitable for their design needs.
