Mornsun LN Series — an AC/DC converter for extreme temperatures

Newly released Mornsun converters don’t need electrolytic capacitors

Electrolytic capacitors are a key component in AC/DC switching power supplies; however, electrolytic capacitors used in these have large internal losses, large variations in capacity, high leakage and poor high/low temperature characteristics. Altogether, this can result in low reliability and a shortened lifespan of power products, particularly in extreme temperature environments.

The newly released Mornsun LN series in 1W to3W AC/DC converters don’t need any electrolytic capacitors and solves the problems of poor high/low temperature characteristics and short lifespan of power products caused by electrolytic capacitor limitations.

Mornsun LN series
Mornsun’s LN01, 02, 03-12Bxx series of 1W to 3W AC/DC converters meet standards, EMI Class B without external circuit, surge immunity meets Level 4 standard. Offering an input voltage range of 165~264VAC/233~370VDC and a ultra-wide operating temperature range of -40℃~70℃, with no requirement for temperature dating, to not only solve the problem of short lifespan of power products caused by electrolytic capacitor limitations, but also extend the average lifespan by 1.5 times over other conventional converters.

They can be used in any application requiring high reliability and an extended lifespan; some applications include LED lighting, instrument and meter, communications and industrial controls, and are ideal for mining and electric power industries.
