MOSFET protects Li-ion battery packs

The FDMB2307NZ PowerTrench MOSFET suits Li-Ion battery pack protection circuits and other ultraportable applications. It features a dual common drain, n-channel MOSFET, enabling bidirectional current flow. The device offers a maximum RDS(on) of 16.5 mΩ at VGS = 4.5 V, ID = 8 A.

The junction-to-ambient thermal resistance of the MOSFET id 57°C/W when mounted on a 1-in.2 copper pad. The 2 x 3-mm2 MicroFET package is 40% smaller than existing legacy solutions, and provides HBM ESD protection >2 kV. ($0.46 ea/1,000 — available now.)
