MOSFETs handle rigors of VoIP equipment

The DMN60xx series offers four additional MOSFET products that provide 60-V n-channel devices tailored for use in VoIP communication equipment. They are designed to handle the high pulse current needed to generate tip and ring linefeeds and to withstand the avalanche energy induced during switching. They meet the stringent requirements of the primary switch in transformer based Subscriber Line Interface Circuits (SLIC) dc/dc converters.

The devices meet different industry standard package options. The DMN6068SE is offered in SOT223 package, the DMN6068LK3 in TO252 package, and the single MOSFET DMN6066SSS and dual MOSFET DMN6066SSD are offered in the SO8. Device gate charge and on-resistance performance have been balanced to deliver the requisite figure of merit for VoIP applications. (From $0.20 ea/10,000 –available now.)
