Motion indexer controls one to four axes
For controlling one to four axes, the MMA-4S step motion controller uses
the CY545 absolute positioning microprocessor. The processor is capable of
16 million steps in a single move at 30,000 steps/s, +/- 0??? steps. The
controller is designed for microscopes, pick-and-place, peristaltic pumps,
and X-Y-Z table. Control of speed, ramping, homing, and accessory I/O is
selected by high-level ASCII commands sent over a serial interface. The
commands can be stored 2 Kbytes of on-board EEPROM. Various ready-to-step
application software packages are available. The unit measures 3 x 2 x 6
in.–custom enclosures are available. (One axis, $350; three axes, 2-A
