Motor-control platform uses XCore processors
The XMOS motor-control platform offers the advantages of hard real-time, multithreaded XCore processors that give predictable real-time behavior of control loops. The package’s board has two XMOS XS1-L processors: an XS1-L1 500-MIPS processor handling three-phase BLDC motor control loops, and an XS1-L2 1,000-MIPS processor handling communication, logging, and motion control.
The board also has a six-channel 14-bit 600-ksamples/s A/D converter with individual sample/holds, 32 Mbytes of SDRAM, Ethernet, CAN, LCD, GPIO interfaces, and a two-channel Hall-effect encoder input. The platform package also provides a 7.7-W Faulhaber BLDC 24-V motor, power supply, demonstration software, and documentation. ($499 — available now.)
