Motor driver suits portable apps

The A1448 full-bridge motor driver suits low-voltage, brushless dc motors and targets communications and office automation markets, for use in vibration motor applications in portable devices that require fast stop-start cycles. This device has an integrated Hall sensor used to detect the rotational position of an alternating-pole ring-magnet.

The driver features device functionality from 1.8 to 4.2 VDD . It employs a soft-switching algorithm to reduce audible switching noise and EMI interference. An input control pin handles several functions including direct input PWM for speed control to initiate the active-braking function and enables a micropower sleep mode.
