Pixus Technologies has unveiled a mounting rail for standard OpenVPX and other boards based on the IEEE 1101 specification. The rugged mounting rail supports very high insertion forces.
The high insertion forces of some plug-in modules can cause standard mounting rails to bow or crack in OpenVPX systems. So the new version features a thicker metal; it has two mounting screws. And it boasts a reinforced design to ensure strength and durability.
It comes alongside new offset card guides from Pixus and allows both 4HP and 5HP plug-in modules to be used in the same subrack. Pixus provides mounting rails and subrack components for CompactPCI Serial, CompactPCI, VME64x, and other interconnect architectures.
