November 18, 2013 – Mouser Electronics, Inc. has a global agreement with Ka‑Ro Electronics to stock its extensive range of popular embedded PC modules and kits. Ka‑Ro Computer‑on‑Modules stand out due to their small form factors and low-power consumption.
The Ka-Ro Electronics product line available from Mouser Electronics includes their TX Embedded Modules containing all the functionality of a PC packed into a small form factor computer, based on cores ranging from a power-efficient Texas Instruments Cortex‑A8 up to a high performance Freescale Quad‑Core Cortex‑A9. All TX Modules interface via a ruggedized 200‑pin SO‑DIMM connector and measure 67.6mm x 26 or 31mm, and contain everything necessary to build a small PC including Linux/Windows/Android/QNX support, HD graphics, networking including Ethernet and CAN, camera interfaces, and USB. Ka‑Ro starter kits enable easy application building for the TX processor boards.
“Ka-Ro Electronics' Computer-on-Modules are an exciting addition to the Mouser Electronics global product portfolio,” remarked Russell Rasor, Mouser VP of Advanced Technology. “Designers of small form factor computers can now take advantage of Ka-Ro's innovative embedded processor boards and starter kits to put together small embedded systems with plenty of power in record time. Combined with Mouser's same-day shipping, this partnership is a huge win for Mouser's customers.”
“With our new distribution agreement with Mouser Electronics, one of the fastest growing global catalog and online distributors of semiconductors and electronic components, Ka‑Ro Electronics is launching into a new market segment,” said Ekkehard T. Meurers, CFO of Ka‑Ro Electronics GmbH. “With its strong focus on design engineers and buyers who need the most up-to-date products, Mouser has redefined the term ‘consumer-oriented sales,’ as ensuring the high-speed availability of our Computer-on-Modules serves to support rapid prototyping for the end-user.”
