August 26, 2013 – Mouser Electronics, Inc. is now stocking new 8-channel audio processors from Texas Instruments. TAS5548 and TAS5558 are HD-compatible pulse width modulators with digital audio processing and sample rate converters.
These TI audio processors are designed to interface seamlessly with most digital audio decoders and support DTS-HD specification Blu-ray HTiB applications. The sample rate converters on the TAS5548 and TAS5558 consist of two separate modules that handle four channels each. TAS5548 and TAS5558 can support two different input sampling rates. These TI devices can drive eight channels of H-bridge power stages. They also provide a high-performance, differential output to drive an external, differential-input, analog headphone amplifier. An evaluation module is available to demonstrate the capabilities of these TI audio devices.
