Designed for low-cost digital control of high-current circuits commonly found in industrial or appliance applications, the TMPM380 32-bit MCU features a 40-MHz Cortex-M3 core. The device has 128 or 256 Kbytes of zero-wait-state flash, 8 or 16 Kbytes of RAM, and executes a 32 x 32-bit multiply/accumulate in one clock cycle.
The LQFP100- or LQFP48-packaged IC operates from a 4.5 to 5.5-V supply and provides a specialized PWM for three-phase control of motor circuits and a 16-bit programmable pulse generator for controlling circuits using power semiconductors. It has a 12-bit A/D converter that can synchronize with the PWM unit and several safety and fault tolerance features, including software support of the IED 60730B safety standard.
