The Microtune MT2060-STV0361-RD is the world’s first design implemented with a silicon tuner that fully complies with the NorDig Unified 1.0.1 Standard.
The MT2060-STV0361-RD is based on the Microtune MicroTuner MT2060 and the STMicroelectronics STV0361 Single-Chip Coded Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing (COFDM) demodulator. The superior characteristics of the unit are achieved by special filtering for enhanced adjacent-channel performance and excellent in-band flatness over the complete frequency range.
The MicroTuner MT2060 is an advanced, low-power, single-chip broadband tuner, optimized for high-performance DVB-T set-top boxes and TV sets. It operates from 50.5 MHz to 858 MHz, converting the selected channel to a 30 MHz to 60 MHz standard IF.
The MT2060’s low close-in phase noise makes it an excellent choice for QAM & COFDM systems. Its dual-conversion architecture, with no requirement for tracking filters, yields these desirable tuner characteristics: controlled input impedance across the entire input band, low in-band emissions, outstanding image rejection.
The STV0361 is hardware and software compatible with the existing STV0360 – with automated echo-protection capability. It manages signals containing such echoes by synchronizing up to 260 microseconds outside the guard interval. Doppler-shifted signals, seen in mobile applications or where an echo is received from a moving object, are detected and processed using adaptive channel correction in both time and frequency.
