MTM Power offers the PCMDS150 350S24 dc/dc converter to generate control voltages for backup needs

Auxiliary power supply offers backup solutions

Based on the established railway and industrial applications, the MTM Power PCMDS150 350S24 dc/dc converter series generates control voltages from high-voltage energy storage and targets backup power uses. The 110−450-Vdc input voltage range allows its use as a decentralized power supply for industrial dc mains to generate control voltages from backup storage in wind energy plants or as an on-board converter for e-mobility applications.

The maintenance-free PCMDS150 350S24 dc/dc converter generates a controlled output power of 24 V (6.25 A), is short-circuit-protected, and needs no ground load. Cooling is achieved by convection. The operating temperature range of −40°C to +70°C, the humidity, shock, vibration, and transient voltages of the converter series provides the right characteristics for railway applications.

A thermoselective vacuum encapsulation allows enclosure of the electronics by potting material and guarantees uniform heat dissipation. Versions with an integrated heat sink (PCMDS150 350S24UK) or base plate (PCMDS150 350S24U) are available. The devices use standard connectors and there is an optional IP65 version.
