Multifunction IC enables LBS

The BCM2075 multifunction IC brings GPS, Bluetooth, and FM radio on a single chip. Supported by the company’s World Wide Reference Network (WWRN) for accurate indoor and outdoor positioning, the part enables advanced LBS (location based services), regardless of user location.

The Bluetooth core is fully compliant with version 2.1 and EDR technology and features SmartAudi voice enhancement technology. The FM receiver offers station search functions for worldwide frequency bands from 65 to 108 MHz, while the FM transmitter supports programmable output power. The FM transceiver supports external or internal FM antenna configurations. The part also includes an ARM Cortex-M3 processor and is housed in WLBGA and μFBGA packages.
