The INA209 current/power monitor IC with an I2 C interface uses a zero-drift, auto-zeroing architecture to provide a high-accuracy current-sensing solution that offers 1% max accuracy over –40° to 85°C, with 100 µV max offset. Operating from a single 3.0 to 5.5-V supply, the high-side-measurement bidirectional device monitors the drop across a shunt resistor and senses shunt bus voltage from 0 to 26 V.
The TSSOP-16-packaged device features three levels of programmable watchdogs. In addition, the I2 C interface includes a timeout to prevent bus lockup and a high-speed mode to enable communications up to 3.4 MHz. ($3.50 ea/1,000 — available now.)
