Nanya Technology announced shipping of 800MHz DDR2 registered dual in-line memory module (RDIMM) designed specifically for the Quad-Core AMD Opteron processor, to help optimize performance of high-end server systems and workstation applications.
Nanya’s DDR2 800 RDIMM will power new Quad-Core AMD Opteron processor-based platforms. NT4GT72U4ND0BV and NT2GT72U4PD0BV are available now in production quantities. The modules are registered 240-Pin Double Data Rate 2 (DDR2) Synchronous DRAM Dual In-Line Memory Module (DIMM), organized as a 2 ranks 512MX72 high-speed memory array and a 1 rank 256Mx72 high-speed memory array.
