The narrow-profile WN8 series of power supplies has outputs from 3.3 to 48 Vdc and from 120 to 288 W, and complies with the UL508 requirements. The supplies can be used on an input of 90 to 265 Vac or 110 to 350 Vdc. All models have PFC and output-inhibit capability — applying 3 to 25 Vdc to the inhibit terminal to disable the output. The supplies are rated for operation over a temperature range of 0° to 71°C.
Other features include remote sensing capability, which compensates up to 0.5-V drop per output, and overload, overvoltage, short-circuit, and thermal protection. Measuring as small as 1.7 x 3.5 x 7 in. to 1.7 x 3.5 x 9.8 in., these 100-kHz switchers have line and load regulation of ±0.05%.
