The Vortex Data Transport System is a family of ruggedized DZUS-form-factor Network Attached Storage (NAS) file servers designed for use in sea, air, and ground vehicles, and field stations. Easily integrated into a network, the unit provides NAS FS secure removable storage with 128-Gbyte flash storage memory cartridges.
Each memory cartridge weighs only 0.5 lb and fits in a shirt pocket. The standard unit has three cartridges with an option for a fourth. The Vortex DTS weighs 10 lbs, takes only 35 W, and has four GbE ports. (Starting from $10,000 — available now.)
