Who wouldn't like a hot cup of coffee that's ready in only 15 seconds? Scanomat, a Danish coffee-system company has created the app-controlled TopBrewer, a beverage machine that can do just that.
Make the perfect cup of coffee with TopBrewer.
TopBrewer allows users to customize their beverage settings, the amount of coffee needed, and the type of milk to be used. It then dispenses hot or sparkling water, espresso, macchiato, cappuccino, latte, steaming or cold milk, tea-temperature water, and even steam for blanching vegetables. Though it's controlled by mobile devices using software downloadable through iTunes or Google Play, the piece uses a single stainless-steel tap that doubles as a self-cleaning milk foamer. Designed to be installed in a countertop using plumbing and electrical sources, it comes with a 24-inch wide cabinet, which is hidden under the surface with a commercial-grade grinder and a refrigeration unit.

Of course, this is no ordinary coffee brewer, with a price tag of about $11,000. If you think that's a lot for a cup of joe, there's another version that also makes juices and lets users choose between flavored or decaf coffee selling for $19,000.
According to the Chicago Tribune, inventor and CEO Kim Vibe-Peterson said he came up with the idea for TopBrewer after he had a conversation with someone who thought coffee machines were ugly. Vibe-Peterson thought up the idea of a swan-neck tap to dispense the coffee and have everything else hidden under the counter for a neat, modern appearance.
The stainless steal tap is designed to be built into any tabletop.
As for the heavy price tags? Company project manager Frederik Vibe-Petersen, son of the CEO, said they're for a very specific segment, such as people buying kitchens and in the market for a product that doesn't fill up lots of space.
