The N6 heavy-duty NEMA Type 6 enclosure is made to protect electronic equipment in military shipboard applications, as well as other situations where sensitive equipment must be protected from hostile environments. The water-tight enclosure goes beyond NEMA Type 6 performance ratings to handle strenuous shock and vibration conditions.

For either indoor or outdoor use, the enclosure meets MIL-STD-167-1 (Mechanical vibrations of shipboard equipment), MIL-STD-901D (Shock, Heavy Weight Grade A, Class II) MIL-STD-461E (EMI shielding, CE 102, CS 101, CS114, CS 116, RE 101, RS 101 and RS 103), and MIL-STD-810G.
