Configured with the MU150110A multi-rate/multi-channel unit, the MP1590B network performance tester can perform tests for SDH/SONET, OTN, PDH/DSn and 10GbE devices, modules, and equipment that previously required multiple instruments. The unit can measure multiple rates as well as simultaneously test multiple channels across the full 10G band.

For example, for SONET/SDH equipment, the unit can simultaneously measure all HO and LO VT1.5/VC11 channels. Error/alarm, BER, automatic protection switch, and delay time measurements can be done for the 5,376 channels simultaneously.
