The PL-80160 2U network services platform supports Xeon Core i7, Core i5, Core i3, and Pentium Dual Core processors and up to four unbuffered ECC or non-ECC DDR3 1,066/1,333-MHz DIMM memory modules. Storage interfaces include one 3.5-in. SATA HDD and CompactFlash.

The units optional Cavium Nitrox PX cn16xx security coprocessor supports multi-security-protocol commands, and the platform has eight to thirty-two GbE Ethernet LAN ports via a PCI-E x8.
