The NP-4 100-Gigabit/s network processor provides integrated traffic managers for wire-speed packet processing and advanced flow-based traffic control. The chip targets high-density switch/router line cards.
The IC features enhanced support for video streams and IPTV, a control CPU for host offload, and power management for minimizing both line card and system power. The chip supports per-flow queuing and IEEE-1588v2 timing, along with 10 XAUI/RXAUI interfaces, 24 quad-speed SGMI ports, and three Interlaken MACs.
