Network search engine is fastest, lowest power

The Questflo 98TX1100 network search co-processor is said to deliver the industry’s fastest performance and highest capacity – while taking considerably less power than current TCAM solutions. The IC is scalable up to 8 million flow entries with 2.4 billion decisions/second.

The chip also features deterministic throughput of 1 clock cycle/search from 80 to 640 bit keys. It has carrier-grade reliability with ECC memory protection and takes only 25 W typical in full operation. The 98TX1100 is typically used with a network packet processor via standard high-speed Interlaken (ILK-LA) interfaces. The IC is currently sampling and an evaluation platform and SDK are available.
