New iPhone 6s to be released in September

Everything we know about the new iPhone, projected to launch on September 25.

September is just around the corner, which means it’s time for Apple to release its latest iPhone. Although Apple has not given an official confirmation just yet, below are its speculated properties.

It will be called the iPhone 6s, not the iPhone 7.

If Apple follows its current naming convention, the phone will be called the iPhone 6s. But on the flipside, Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, who has a strong reputation for reporting on Apple’s upcoming plans, predicts it will be the iPhone 7 because there are so many enhanced added features like the force touch and camera.

The phone will be equipped with force touch technology.

A new “Force Touch” feature (that the Apple Watch already offers) will allow users to drop a pin in Maps, create an event in Calendar, and perform other quick functions by simply pressing more deeply on the screen. To fully support the watch, it will feature haptic feedback, or more subtle silent vibrations.

Say goodbye to the home button.

9to5Mac reports that Apple is working on developing single-chip solutions to integrate touch and display drivers. The new iPhone could have an entirely new plane design that eliminates the home button by touching a sensor embedded in the screen that recognizes your fingerprint and knows you are tapping it. Now that’s pretty neat.

Expected date for it to launch is September 25.

According to the blog Mobile News, who claims they have gotten their hands on an internal staff email sent to employees, the new iPhone is set to be released on September 25 with preorders beginning September 18.

iPhone6s

It may come in two sizes like he iPhone 6 and 6 plus.

Kuo believes the new iPhone may follow its predecessors and come in two sizes – 4.7 and 5.5-inch versions.

The iPhone 6s is predicted to be bigger and more durable than the 6.

Apple may use the same 7000 series aluminum found in its watch case, which would make it 60% more durable than the aluminum Apple currently uses for its iPhone 6 and 6 plus. Kuo also thinks the new iPhone will be 0.15mm taller and 0.2mm thicker due to the new aluminum.

Like every other update, the camera will be improved, but this one with the possibility of 3D photo effects.

The new camera is rumored to be Apple’s biggest camera jump yet. Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Brian White says he has seen evidence that the next iPhone will come with an improved 12-mexa pixel camera. Apple also recently acquired the Israel-based camera company LinX whose technology could help the iPhone take clearer photos in low-light conditions, as well as reduce noise. The technology could also allow for 3D factors, meaning the phone would come with more than one camera sensor so it could capture depth-of-field images. Another added feature Developer Hazma Sood discovered is a code that suggests the front-facing camera will support 1080p video capture, 24-frames-per-second slow-motion shooting, a panoramic mode, and a flash, all great for selfies.

Apple is rumored to get rid of the 16GB.

Say bye-bye to the limited16GB storage capacity, who everyone I have ever known to have had on their phone complained that they ran out of storage. Remember when the iOS 8 launched and some people couldn’t download it because they didn’t have enough space? That will be a problem no more. Base models will start at 32GB.

The new iPhone will perform twice as fast when connected to LTE.

A report from Gurman says LTE will perform twice as fast as it currently does under the iPhone 6 and 6 plus. You’ll be able to download movies, music, and apps significantly faster.

Battery life will improve, but that was a given.

Apple specified a longer battery life as part of the iOS 9. The new processor is also said to be made by Qualcomm, which is very power efficient.

It will come with the new iOS 9.

With a new phone comes a new Operating System preinstalled. If you have an older phone, you will be able to download the new iOS 9 come fall.

pink iPhone

There might be a pink iPhone this time around.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple is testing out pink colors for the iPhone. Rumors are that it could either be a rose gold to match its current gold, space gray, and silver collection, or it could be an entirely different brighter pink option. You’re welcome, ladies.
