The CR-5000 version 14 PCB and IC package design software sees a number of significant productivity enhancements for greater collaboration in FPGA development and for high-speed design. It offers sizeable performance gains in placement and routing, which according to the company, accounts for 60-70% of PCB design work.
Set-up time for high-speed constraints is reduced with automatic, rules-driven differential pair creation in Board Designer. Performance improvements include faster processing when generating and correcting solid and meshed copper areas, especially where cut-out shapes and other conductive figures exist.
In addition routing technology from the Lightning high-speed design environment has been incorporated directly into the core functionality of Board Designer. For improved co-design of PCBs and programmable devices, such as FPGAs and ASICs, there is now tighter integration in CR-5000 with Zuken’s Graphical Pin Manager (GPM). New changes to high pin count, multi-symbol devices in GPM can be updated collectively and automatically during logical circuit design.(Contact company for pricing — available now)
