The next-generation versions of the WD and WDD series environmental D-subminiature connectors now feature a unibody design that eliminates the need for sealants, which lowers manufacturing costs and provides increased performance. The design allows connectors to operate in temperature between –40 to 125°C and is available in 13 variants, with 9 through 50 contacts, in standard and high-density options.
The WD series with size 20 contacts has a nominal current rating of 7.5 A, The WDD series with size 22 contacts has a nominal current rating of 5 A. Both series meet IP67 testing requirements, a 1 GΩ-minimum insulation resistance test and a 1,000-Vrms voltage proof test.
