CUI Inc. has added its first four-contact, surface-mount, non-isolated converter to its DC/DC converter portfolio. The ultra-compact VXO78-500-M offers a remote on/off pin and high efficiency up to 95%, making the power device suited for space-constrained applications that require maximized energy efficiency. Applications include information technology equipment (commercial), controls, and wide-input electronics.
The DC/DC converter offers a wide 4.75- to 36-Vdc input voltage range, short-circuit protection, and 4-SMD reflow solderability in an SMT package with half-via corners. Key specs include 500-mA output current, no-load input current as low as 0.2 mA, and a wide –40°C to 85°C temperature range. The devices are UL/EN/IEC 62368-certified.
Available now, prices start at $2.52 per unit in quantities of 100 through distribution. Lead times range from stock to nine weeks.
