The Gusto memory IP is said to be the industry’s first 4-Mbit one-time-programmable NVM IP. The IP is large enough to store the firmware and boot code traditionally stored in external serial-flash and/or EEPROMs.
The IP is a cost- and space-efficient replacement for off-chip EEPROM/flash with the potential to significantly reduce BOM costs. Using on chip NVM also secures valuable software. Gusto has been tested three leading foundries IBM, TSMC, and UMC. (Pricing not available, but includes NRE fee, license fee, per-wafer royalty — available now.)
