One-port PoE manager delivers 51 W per IEEE802.3at

The PD69101 one-port PoE manager delivers 51 W to powered devices while complying with the IEEE802.3at-2009 requirements. It goes beyond the IEEE standard to deliver up to 75 W by using two of the PoE chipset devices over four pairs of Ethernet cable.

One-port PoE manager delivers 51 W per IEEE802.3at

The PoE manager enables customers to build four-pair PSEs that can be used to develop a wide variety of power-sourcing equipment including switches, routers, and specialized platforms such as PoE-enabled TVs and set-top boxes. These platforms can be used to provide higher levels of managed power to a broad range of Ethernet devices in small-office, home-office, and residential applications that include WiMAX transmitters, pan-tilt-zoom cameras, fiber-to-the-home optical network terminators, and outdoor xDSL/cable modems. The device requires 10 external components to create a complete PoE solution. Its synchronous four-pair implementation cuts the component count of front-end PoE PD designs in half, compared to alternative asynchronous four-pair solutions.
