Op-amps condition small sensor signals

The TSX56 series op-amps are tiny parts used to condition very small sensor signals. The devices use an advanced 16-V CMOS manufacturing process to deliver better accuracy than existing devices, with greater long-term stability. Moreover, the process enables tiny die sizes permitting ultra-small surface-mount packages.

The TSX561, TSX562 and TSX564,containing one (single), two (dual) and four (quad) op-amps respectively, operate over a wide supply-voltage range from 3 to 16 V, allowing use with a variety of industry-standard supply voltages such as 3, 5, 12 or ±5 V. Additional features include an input-offset voltage of 600 µV maximum, an input bias current of 1 pA, a quiescent current of 240 µA typical(at 5 V), and a gain-bandwidth of 900 kHz typical.

The op-amps also have enhanced electro-static discharge protection, up to 4 kV, and can operate from –40° to 125°C allowing use in harsh industrial or automotive environments. The TSX561 is housed in an SOT23-5 package, the TSX562 in a 2x2mm DFN8 and MiniSO-8, and the TSX564 in a 3×3 mm QFN16 and TSSOP14.(ea/1,000, $0.50 depending on the configuration/package — available now)
