The MCP651/2/5 op amps are offered as the first of their kind to include an on-chip circuit, mCal, that calibrates offset voltage at power-up using an internal power on-reset detector, or based upon the state of an external pin. The result is a low initial voltage offset (200 μV max after calibration) and a means to minimize drift over time and temperature, which are extremely important for applications involving instrumentation and sensor conditioning.
The 50-MHz op amps feature a high output-drive current of 95 mA and a rail-to-rail output over the entire operating-voltage range of 2.5 to 5.5 V. The family is supported by the FilterLab analog filtering software tool and the Mindi online simulator tool. The MCP651 is available in an 8-pin SOIC package, the MCP652 in 8-pin SOIC and 3 x 3-mm DFN packages, and the MCP655 in 10-pin MSOP and 3 x 3-mm DFN packages. (From $1.21 ea/10,000 available now.)
