Optical test modules boost rack’s capabilities

For use in the AQ2200 rack-mount Multiple Application Test System for optical devices, the AQ2200-215 optical sensor, AQ2200-412 optical switch, and the AQ2200-641 XFP test interface modules expand functional performance, lower test cost, and improve test efficiency.

The sensor module can measure to 30 dBm at 10 ksamples/s for WDM transmission equipment power measurement and margin testing as well as optical-fiber amplifier output power and gain testing. For testing multiple DUTs, the 1×16 switch module offers low insertion loss and excellent reproducibility. For XFP transceiver testing, the interface module provides full signal control and transceiver access–with independent data in and out, bar-data in and out, and reference clock in–eliminating the need for an evaluation board.
