Opto-isolated MOSFET drivers are high speed
The TC4803/4804 opto-isolated power MOSFET drivers provide 2,500 Vrms
input-to-output isolation with the ability to drive 1,000 pF to 15 V in 45
ns. Undervoltage lockout circuitry forces the output to a low state when
the supply voltage drops below 7.8 V to prevent driving a MOSFET in the
linear mode during power on or off conditions. The TC4803/4804 drivers
will convert a 5-V logic level to an 18-V level in 140 ns. Peak current
drive of the devices is 2 A with sink current capability of 0.8 A with a
typical power supply current consumption of 4 mA; operating voltage range
is from 10 to 18 V. The TC4803 has inverted output and the TC4804 is
non-inverting. Both devices are available in 8-pin plastic DIPs. ($1.82
