The PM5450 HyPHY 20Gflex and PM5456 HyPHY 10Gflex multi-rate/multi-protocol PHYs doubles packet efficiency and delivers multiservice capabilities for optical transport networks (OTN). The ODU0-channelized metro OTN processors support the newly approved OIF-compliant OTN-over-packet fabric system interface and a applicable to Ethernet TDM, and storage applications.
The PM5450 HyPHY 20Gflex delivers the industry’s highest density with 16 SFP client ports, independently tunable from 16 Mbit/s to 5 Gbit/s, plus two 10G XFP/SFP+ interfaces. It provides up to 40G of OTN framing and 100G of OTN switching in a single chip, with support for PTP (IEEE 1588v2) over OTN. The PM5456 HyPHY 10Gflex has one 10G network interface, one 10G client transponder mode interface and eight client multi-rate SERDES SFP ports. (Price not given – samples available now.)
