PA and DVGA suit WiMax/LTE/4G apps

The HMC921LP4E GaAs HBT MMIC power amplifier and the HMC926LP5E digital variable-gain amplifier (DVGA) suit high-linearity applications in cellular/3G, LTE/4G, WiMAX, military and fixed-wireless-equipment applications. The 2-W HMC921LP4E amplifier is rated from 400 to 2,700 MHz, operates at 5 V, and delivers up to 16-dB gain, 33-dBm output P1dB, and 48-dBm output IP3. Housed in a 4 x 4-mm QFN package, the part also delivers 70 dBc of adjacent channel power ratio (ACPR) with a channel output power of 22 dBm.

The HMC926LP5E operates from 700 to 2,700 MHz, and can be programmed to provide from 6.5 to 38 dB of gain, in 0.5-dB steps at 900 MHz. Gain control range is from 1 to 32.5 dB at 1,900 MHz and from –4 to 27.5 dB at 2,600 MHz. Housed in a 5 x 5-mm QFN package, the part delivers a noise figure of 4.4 dB in its maximum gain state and an output IP3 of up to 45 dBm.
