The Cirrus Logic® Networked-Attached-Storage (NAS) reference design, built around the EP9312 embedded processor, provides network storage and media server suppliers with a comprehensive platform to rapidly develop feature-rich, low-cost NAS products.
The EP9312 is a 200 MHz ARM9™ system-on-a-chip integrated with key peripherals for NAS and related media server products. The NAS reference design includes the EP9312 processor, application software and a product reference design that allows ODMs and OEMs to rapidly deliver affordable network storage products.
The EP9312 processor provides integrated audio and display functions for SPI, I2S, and AC'97 with six-channel 24-bit audio, and wide array of software codecs including MP3, WMA, and AAC.
