In today’s world of electronic product design, change is constant. That new chip set you will be using on the next design may introduce hundreds of high-speed rules you will need to capture and verify, and then ensure that all traces are routed within tolerances. You may also need to simulate the design to confirm the board operates as expected. Your company may be growing, either organically, or through acquisition, or maybe your company has been acquired — the market is always changing.
As you look at the future, consider two questions: Will you need to reduce your design cycle even more to get your next product into manufacturing and to market for sale? Do your EDA tools give you everything you need to complete your PCB designs, regardless of how complex they are?
