Polycase has unveiled a series of extruded aluminum enclosures for PCBs, and it’s available in 17 sizes ranging from 1.93 x 2.70 in. to 8.23 x 6.99 in. The EX Series of aluminum enclosures are designed to allow a standard 0.063-in. PCB to slide into place with removable end caps that can easily be modified for cables, connectors, and switches.
There are continuous gaskets that sit between the end caps and body to provide IP66 protection from dust and water. Moreover, the aluminum material provides a degree of EMI/RFI protection.
These electronic enclosures can be used in both free-standing and surface-mounted modes with an optional flange kit. They are aimed at data systems, safety engineering, measurement and control, and networking applications.
