Suited for servers, workstations, and PCs, the MAX4950A dual-channel buffer and equalizer is designed to re-drive PCIe 1.0 and PCIe 2.0 signals. This device employs two identical signal-amplitude buffers with idle/receive detection to protect against unwanted noise at the output.
Available in a 36-pin TQFN package, the MAX4950A PCIe buffer features programmable input equalization and programmable output deemphasis to compensate for circuit board losses — all while redriving high-speed signals at PCIe 2.0 (up to 5.0-Gbit/s) data rates. Features include a single supply voltage of 3.3 V, a temperature range of 0° to 70°C, a power-save mode, and an enable pin, which allows the device to be placed in standby mode to further conserve power.
