The PCIe-COM family of PCI Express serial communication cards features both DB9 and RJ45 connections and eight, four, or two ports. The cards are software selectable for RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485.
The cards use a x1 lane PCIe connector. Each RS-232 port supports 921.6 kbits/s with full modem control signals and RS-422 and RS-485 ports support speeds up to 3 Mbits/s; 15-kV ESD protection is provided on all signal pins, and –40° to 85°C operation temperature is optional.
