PCIe DAQ boards have >160 dB dynamic range

Based on a novel heterodyne trigger and a 32-bit Xilinx FPGA averaging engine with near-zero dead-time, the two-channel ULTRADYNE16-50MxVE-8GB-50T/155T and four channel ULTRADYNE16-250x4AVE-8GB-50T/155T can capture repetitive signals as low as 10 nV at a 250-maegsample/s rate over a 160 dB dynamic range from dc to 400 MHz. The PCIe boards, which can average repetitive signal strings up to 1 million times with record lengths to 16,384 samples (-50T models) and 262,144 samples (-155T models) uninterruptedly, are intended for demanding scientific, military and medical applications where repetitive signals on multiple time-aligned channels need to be observed with high SNR.

The heterodyning trigger input allows triggering to occur on a frequency difference between the input and the sampling clock frequency, useful for time-of-flight imaging systems, RADAR, and pulsed spectroscopy systems. Selective recording with fiducial marks, and adjustable pre/post trigger allow efficient and flexible capture of single-shot and repeating waveforms with near-100% collection efficiency. All models include Windows 7/8 driver packages and LabVIEW control panel for Windows. 64-bit Linux 6.2 drivers and command line user programs are also included.
