PCIe Gen 3 switches offer up to 64 lanes

The 89H64H16G3, 89H48H12G3 and 89H32H8G3, are 64/16, 48/12, and 32/8 port/lane count PCIe Gen 3 switch ICs supporting multiple simultaneous peer-to-peer traffic flows. They come in 35 x 35, 27 x 27, and 23 x 23 mm FCBGA packages.

The 89H64H16G3 IC is capable of 8 Gbit/s link speed for 128 Gbyte/s capacity – said to be the highest in the industry. Target applications include servers, storage, and intelligent I/O based systems with inter-domain communication. The devices provide advanced error reporting, access control services, alternative routing ID, and atomic operations. (From $56 in hi volume samples available now.)
